Rs 2,500 Crore PF Funds for Transport Workers Misused in Bengaluru

A serious allegation has surfaced regarding the misuse of thousands of crores of PF funds belonging to drivers and conductors working in the four state transport corporations, including BMTC and KSRTC. It is reported that approximately Rs 2,500 crore PF funds, belonging to about 1,10,000 employees across the four corporations, have been misused and have not reached the trust. The misuse allegedly occurred by using the PF money, which is meant for retirement and difficult times, for the corporations' own expenses, such as diesel purchase and monthly salary payments.
