Report submitted to government for release of ₹20.61 crore crop loss compensation for Ramanagara and Magadi

Based on a joint survey conducted by officials from various departments, including the Agriculture Department, in the drought-affected taluks of Ramanagara and Magadi, the district administration has submitted a report to the government. This report recommends releasing a total of ₹20.61 crore in crop loss compensation for both taluks, as per NDRF guidelines. The joint Agriculture Director of Bengaluru South District stated that crop loss occurred in 6,942 hectares in Ramanagara and 17,775 hectares in Magadi due to rainfall deficit. He also noted that the estimated total crop loss is ₹242.26 crore.
