Railway Board grants temporary approval for new train services, boosting prospects for Pink Line launch

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) received temporary approval from the Railway Board for the movement of new BEML trains. This increases the expectation that the elevated Pink Line may start operations within a few weeks. The Railway Board granted approval for the 7.5 km route, allowing six-car trains to run at a maximum speed of 80 km/h from Kaalanagarahara to Tavarekere. BMRCL shared that this approval will be attached with documents submitted to the Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS).
