Public hearing raises concerns over government schools' status in Bengaluru

During a public hearing on 'The State of School Education in Karnataka' held on Friday, concerns were raised regarding the closure of government schools. Participants demanded that basic infrastructure, teachers, and facilities corresponding to RTE be provided in all government and aided schools within two years. They also urged the government to prevent the uncontrolled closure and merger of government schools.
