Protests erupt over proposed Namma Metro Yellow Line extension to Hosur, concerns raised over inter-state connectivity

Kannada organizations have strongly protested the proposal to extend the Namma Metro Yellow Line, which currently connects RV Road to Bommasandra. The proposed extension involves extending the yellow line by approximately 10 km from Bommasandra to Attibele, adding 9 new stations. Protest leaders warn that extending the metro to Tamil Nadu could lead to Bengaluru becoming a 'mini Tamil Nadu' and raise concerns over inter-state issues like the Cauvery River water sharing.
