Protest held demanding construction of bypass road from Udayapura to Somanahalli Gate on Kanakapura Road

Farmers and citizens protested, displaying a large sign reading 'Savinna Raste' (Road of Life), demanding the construction of a bypass road from Udayapura to Somanahalli Gate on Kanakapura Main Road. The protest highlighted that the 7 km stretch from Art of Living's Udayapura to Somanahalli Gate is very narrow, leading to daily accidents. Protestors also criticized the National Highway Authority for its delay policy and for allowing toll collection without building a service or bypass road.
