Protest at Freedom Park over SIR: Prakash Raj demands cancellation, alleges 'Ignorance' will follow 'Knowledge'
A large protest was held at Bengaluru's Freedom Park by the Kaakroach Janata Party (CJP) demanding the cancellation of the controversial Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists and the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC). Protest leaders alleged that eligible voters' names were removed from the voter list without providing an opportunity to submit proper objections or suggestions. Participants included Abhijit Deepke (CJP founder), Sourav Das (speaker), Prakash Raj (actor), Dhruv Rathee (YouTuber and political analyst), and retired Supreme Court Judge V. Gopal Gowda. During the protest, Abhijit Deepke stated that the Election Commission and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are committing 'murder of democracy' and 'vote theft,' asserting that the struggle will continue until the CEC resigns. Prakash Raj also demanded the cancellation of the SIR process, stating, 'If Gyanesh goes, another Ignorance will come.'
