Protest at Freedom Park demands protection for Western Ghats and river rejuvenation

An environmental protest was held at Freedom Park in Bengaluru, demanding the implementation of several demands, including stopping any project that destroys the Western Ghats. Protesters highlighted that the Western Ghats are the breath of the ecosystem and expressed concern that the destruction of the Western Ghats would destroy all life forms, including humans. Participants demanded that laws be enacted to prevent environmentally damaging projects and also called for the rejuvenation and protection of the state's 40,483 lakes.
