Protest against land loss to NIMS project: Leaders detained in Hatti area

Various organizations held a protest in the Camp area against the police action of detaining leaders of farmers and labor unions who lost land due to the NIMS project. Leaders stated that detaining the protest leaders instead of finding a solution for the farmers' land loss is unacceptable. The protest march started from the S.U.P–1 office of the mine staff and labor union and proceeded to the Hatti Police Station. A memorandum was later submitted to the Chief Minister via the CPI.
