Police seize fake cigarettes worth ₹30 lakh in Bengaluru; three arrested

CCB and Upparapete police conducted separate operations, seizing fake cigarettes worth ₹30 lakh. The operations followed a complaint from an ITC company representative. In the first case, CCB police seized fake cigarettes worth ₹20 lakh from two trolley bags, which were being illegally transported to Kerala. Separately, Upparapete police arrested accused Muhammad Gulzar and seized fake cigarettes worth ₹10 lakh. Police stated that three accused were arrested in separate cases for attempting to sell fake cigarettes under the ITC brand name, and the investigation continues to trace the source of this network.
