Police arrest man in Bengaluru for theft from PG hostels, recover mobile phones and laptops

Avalahalli Police Station arrested B. Shivaji, who was involved in thefts from PG hostels in the outskirts of Bengaluru. Police recovered mobile phones and laptops worth ₹10 lakh. Shivaji had committed serial thefts from PG hostels around Manduru, Avalahalli, Hoskote, and Chikkagubbi, which are in Andhra Pradesh. Police stated that the accused used to enter the hostels late at night or early in the morning, stealing mobile phones and laptops from the rooms of IT-BT employees and students whose doors were not completely locked. The movement of Shivaji was captured on the CCTV cameras of the PG hostel where the items were stolen, leading the police to track and arrest him.
