Platform shortage causes delays at Bengaluru railway stations

Due to the increasing number of trains connecting the city, many trains are waiting outside the stations because of insufficient platforms. Trains arriving at KSR Bengaluru (KSR) station from the Mysore region wait at the Outer Signal near Binanimel or at Kengeri station for 20 to 45 minutes. Similarly, trains from Tumakuru and Hassan wait 30 to 45 minutes at Chikkabanavara.
