Pink Line operations in sight as Railway Board clears running of new trains

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) received provisional sanction from the Railway Board for new BEML trains on Wednesday. This sanction is an important prerequisite for commissioning the 7.5-km section of the Pink Line. The Railway Board authorized operating six-coach trains between Kalena Agrahara and Tavarekere at a maximum speed of 80 kmph. BMRCL officials met with CMRS (Southern Circle), V Venkatasubramanian, and presented documents for statutory inspection on Wednesday.
