Permanent solution for flood problem near Manyataha Tech Park in Bengaluru

Efforts are underway to clear silt from the stormwater drains in the Sarvajanagar area to ensure smooth flow of rainwater. Due to heavy rains in 2024, flooding occurred in areas like Tata Nagar, Dynasty Layout, and Defence Layout. As a precautionary measure, RCC barriers have been constructed along the stormwater drains with help from the National Disaster Mitigation Fund and the World Bank. Additionally, two ground-level water storage ponds and automatic sensor pumps have been installed in the low-lying area of Dynasty Layout to prevent floods.
