Panchayat Raj workers request postponement of planned march

The head of the State Gram Panchayat Workers Committee requested the Secretary of the Panchayat Raj Department to postpone the march, which was scheduled to begin on the 12th. The committee stated that the government needs time to discuss and decide on the demands, citing the current code of conduct due to upcoming elections for the Legislative Council from the teacher and graduate sectors. Meanwhile, the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Eshwar Khandre, is scheduled to hold a meeting on the 15th with senior officials to discuss the demands and issues of the Panchayat workers. The committee had prepared to organize a large march from Siddhaganga Math in Tumakuru to Bengaluru to press their demands.
