Opposition leader R. Ashoka alleges political pressure on Election Commission

At a press conference in Bengaluru, opposition leader R. Ashoka stated that 'it is illegal for Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and Congress leaders to exert political pressure on the Election Commission.' He questioned what authority Shivakumar has to issue directives to the Election Commission. R. Ashoka also criticized the Congress for falsely alleging that 15 lakh people's voting rights were cancelled from the BJP. He demanded that the Election Commission form an SIT and file an FIR for transparency.
