NIMHANS and IIT Kharagpur sign agreement for AI-assisted depression assessment

NIMHANS has partnered with IIT Kharagpur for a project to detect depression in its early stages using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The agreement was signed at an event in Bengaluru on Thursday. Under this project, NIMHANS and LGBRIMH (Lokhopriya Gopalnath Boardoloey Regional Mental Health Institute) will conduct a two-year study. The study will involve conducting and analyzing 4,500 clinical interviews in regional languages and English.
