Narayana Nethralaya launches campaign against firecracker eye injuries during Deepavali

Narayana Nethralaya, in association with the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation and the Karnataka government, launched a statewide campaign to prevent firecracker-related injuries and promote animal welfare. The hospital advised people to wear protective eyewear, maintain a safe distance, and supervise children. Dr Rohit Shetty, Director, Narayana Nethralaya Eye Hospitals, stated that every year during Deepavali, the hospital sees several cases of corneal tears, chemical burns, and deep blast injuries.
