MLAs urge government to increase subsidy for milk producers

During a discussion on the floor of the Vidhana Soudha, MLAs from various parties urged the government to increase the subsidy amount per liter of milk given to milk producers. Congress MLA K.V. Nanjegowda stated that the amount received by farmers in Karnataka is low compared to other states, noting that milk is purchased from farmers for ₹35 per liter. He suggested increasing the subsidy by ₹10, citing that neighboring states purchase milk from farmers for ₹40 to ₹41.50 per liter.
