MLA alleges borewell water is contaminated with chemicals; highlights lack of funds for transformer repairs

MLA Sharangan Gowda Kandakuru stated that the people of his constituency are unable to get safe drinking water. He alleged that the groundwater is contaminated by chemicals emanating from an industrial area. Kandakuru also noted that while there are 650 RO units in Yadgiri, more than 450 units are currently under repair. He added that the state government lacks sufficient funds to pay for transformer repairs, causing farmers to wait up to 25 days.
