Minister to develop area around Valmiki statue at Legislators' Home in Bengaluru

Scheduled Tribes (ST) Welfare Minister T Raghumurthy announced on Saturday that a two-acre site in front of the Legislators’ Home (LH), around the Maharshi Valmiki statue (Tapovana), will be developed. The project will follow the model of Hampi’s Hajara Rama Temple, featuring stone carvings of Valmiki and themes from the Ramayana. Raghumurthy stated that the government is examining the possibility of opening the Valmiki statue premises to the general public.
