Mandatory 'Kartavya' App Attendance for Contract and Outsourced Staff in Bengaluru

The state government has ordered that contract and outsourced employees working in various departments, offices, boards, and institutions must mandatorily record attendance through the 'Kartavya' app. The government has approved extending this app, previously limited to permanent government employees, to contract and outsourced staff. All contract and outsourced employees under the government must be registered on the 'Kartavya' app by November 25, 2026. From December 1, 2026, attendance for all contract and outsourced staff must be recorded through the 'Kartavya' app. Payments for contract staff salaries and outsourced agency bills will be released only based on the attendance report obtained from the 'Kartavya' app. Failure to record attendance in the app will result in no payments, according to the directive.
