Man mistaken for phone thief beaten by mob at RT Street in Bengaluru

City Market police registered a case after a 19-year-old man was allegedly mistaken for a mobile phone thief and beaten by a mob at RT Street on October 19. The incident occurred around 7 pm when the victim, Shahid, was riding a two-wheeler with his friend, Fardeen Pasha. Police took Shahid to a hospital for treatment and subsequently registered a case. Investigation is ongoing.
