Man fires air gun at street dog in Bengaluru; public outrage grows

The incident occurred on September 20, when a resident was feeding street dogs in Kannu Layout, Madanayakanahalli. The resident, 65-year-old S. Krishnamurthy, allegedly fired an air gun, hitting the dog, which sustained serious injury to its neck. Animal lovers Sindhu and Sahana immediately took the dog to the hospital for treatment and later filed a complaint at the Madanayakanahalli Police Station.
