Madhu Bangarappa: Allegations of poor quality in school shoes and socks are baseless, merely a measurement discrepancy

School Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa stated that allegations regarding the poor quality of shoes and socks distributed to school children are baseless. He added that the confusion is merely due to measurement discrepancies. Bangarappa also mentioned that he had instructed the department officials two days before the Lokayukta filed a self-initiated case. He stated that a committee has been formed in each district, led by the Chief Executive Officers of the Zilla Panchayats, to visit schools and submit a report. He assured that alternative shoes and socks will be distributed to children who face sizing issues, ensuring no inconvenience to the students.
