Lokayukta raid uncovers assets worth Rs 29.61 crore from eight government officials

A surprise raid by the Karnataka Lokayukta police on eight government officials on Tuesday uncovered total assets worth Rs 29.61 crore. The searches were conducted in Bengaluru, Chikkaballapura, Mandya, Kodagu, Dharwad, and Bidar. Among the accused, Sridevi, District Registrar, Basavanagudi, was found with assets worth Rs 6.80 crore. The raid also revealed that she possessed Rs 30.87 lakh in cash and Rs 35.58 lakh worth of gold and silver ornaments.
