KSLU issues reservation notification for transgender minority candidates in LLL.B. course

The state government informed the High Court that a notification has been issued providing 1% reservation for transgender minority candidates in the three-year LLL.B. course at Karnataka State Law University (KSLU). During the hearing of the petition filed by 'National Law School of India University' (NLSIU), KSLU's lawyer stated that KSLU issued the reservation notification based on a special order issued by the state government, following the High Court's directive. The court also noted that the minimum eligibility score for transgender minority candidates has been reduced to 40%. The next hearing for this matter has been scheduled for the 29th, with the government order clarifying that the implementation of this reservation is subject to the court's further orders and the guidelines to be formulated by the government.
