Karnataka Transport Department to finalize bus fare hike recommendations, awaiting cabinet approval

Transport Minister Bairathi Suresh stated that the government is considering increasing bus ticket fares for KSRTC, BMTC, NWKRTC, and KKRTC. He added that a high-level committee led by retired IAS officer Atul Tiwari has finalized its report on the financial status and fare revision. The minister clarified that after discussing the report with the Chief Ministers and obtaining cabinet approval, the new fares will be implemented.
