Karnataka signs agreement with Rotary Bengaluru; launches laptop, computer distribution under Jnana Setu scheme

The Higher Education department signed an agreement with Rotary Bengaluru to supply refurbished laptops and computers to students of government degree and polytechnic colleges under the Jnana Setu programme. Soon, 500 computers from Microsoft and 1,000 from Cognizant will be distributed to the colleges. Higher Education Minister Basavaraj Rayareddy stated that the program will help address the academic demands of students from economically backward sections.
