Karnataka High Court upholds land acquisition for DRDO project in Bengaluru

The Karnataka High Court upheld the acquisition of 1.27 acres of land in Benniganahalli, K.R. Puram Hobli, Bengaluru East Taluk, for a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) project. The division bench, comprising Justices D.K. Singh and H. Shanti Bhushan, delivered the judgment, overturning the single-judge bench's 2014 order that had cancelled the acquisition process which began in 2005. The court noted the importance of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR) for national security.
