Karnataka HC upholds land acquisition for DRDO in Bengaluru

The Karnataka High Court upheld the land acquisition for the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) at Benniganahalli in Bengaluru. The court stated that national security must always take precedence over individual interests. The division bench allowed appeals filed by the DRDO, which challenged a single judge’s order from April 30, 2015. The court noted that DRDO's research and technological advancement are essential for strengthening the nation’s defence preparedness.
