Karnataka Government to Seek One Year Extension from Centre on Kasturirangan Report

The state government has made several decisions opposing the 7th draft notification issued by the Centre, concerning the Kasturirangan Report. The government decided to form a high-level committee chaired by retired judges. Furthermore, the state government plans to request the Government of India for a one-year extension to finalize the notification related to Karnataka. CM D.K. Shivakumar announced that a cross-party delegation will soon be taken to the Centre.
