Karnataka government plans changes to Kannada flag design; mandatory hoisting in public and private institutions announced

During the 71st Kannada Rajyotsava celebration at Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, CM D.K. Shivakumar announced plans to make significant changes to the Kannada flag design. He stated that the government intends to add another color to the traditional yellow and red flag and incorporate the Karnataka state emblem in the center. CM Shivakumar also announced that preparations are underway to make flag hoisting mandatory in government offices and private companies, including IT-B&T.
