Karnataka Energy Minister details long-term energy security strategy

Energy Minister K.J. George stated that the long-term energy security strategy is being strengthened through the expansion of Battery Energy Storage Systems and the implementation of the CM Solar Agriculture Scheme. He noted that multi-dimensional strategies are being adopted to ensure electricity availability during peak demand and increase the share of renewable energy in the state's electricity system. The minister detailed various projects, including a 250 MW solar project with a 1,100 MWp BESS at Pavagada Solar Park.
