Kannada language status declining in Bengaluru: Concerns raised by Kannada organizations

Kannada organizations raised concerns regarding the declining status of the Kannada language in Bengaluru. During a pre-Rajyotsava meeting at the Taluk Administration Soudha on Friday, Kannada Sangha President Prasanna Reddy stated that some elements are trying to worsen the situation. He urged strong action against those causing such undesirable incidents. Other issues raised included the lack of Kannada in city banks and the increased use of other languages in the city council and taluk offices.
