Kannada Language Development Faces Crisis, Says H.J. Chandra at Karnataka Rajyotsava

During the 71st Karnataka Rajyotsava organized at the Government Degree College premises in Channapattana, Kannada Professor H.J. Chandra expressed concern that the mother tongue's development is facing difficulties. He stated that the mother tongue's development is hampered because parents are directing their children towards English language learning from primary education. He also noted that while the capital Bengaluru has an increase in non-Kannadigas, the dominance of non-Kannadigas in employment makes the celebration of Kannada Rajyotsava meaningless if Kannada medium students cannot find jobs. During the event, various dignitaries were honored, and students performed dance programs depicting the land and culture.
