K-RIDE installs 61-meter massive girders on NH-44, easing Bengaluru-Hossuru traffic congestion

K-RIDE (Karnataka Railway Infrastructure Development Company) has achieved a milestone in engineering by installing two 61-meter open web girders on National Highway-44 (NH-44) near Chandapura. These girders, each weighing approximately 245 metric tons, are located over the main bridge number 470. The first girder was installed on October 10, 2026, and the second was successfully installed on October 28.
