JDS candidate to contest Hariyuru by-election: Congress house by 2028; HD Kumaraswamy

Addressing the media, Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy stated that discussions were held with prominent members of the Kadugo community and central BJP leaders regarding the nomination of a consensus NDA candidate for the Hariyuru by-election. He mentioned that the consensus is to field a JDS candidate as the NDA candidate. Kumaraswamy also criticized the current government, stating that it has neglected a major project approved in 2006–07 for filling lakes in Chitradurga, Tumakuru, and Kolar districts.
