High-level committee to submit report on bus fare hike in two days: Minister Bairathi Suresh

Transport Minister Bairathi Suresh stated that a high-level committee, led by retired IAS officer Atul Tiwari, will submit a report to the government regarding the increase in bus fares for government-owned transport corporations within a couple of days. He also announced that a 'Shakti' smart card will be distributed to women across the state within two months to prevent misuse of free travel reports. Furthermore, the dedicated bus lanes previously removed due to metro construction will be re-introduced on completed roads, and the fine for stopping vehicles in pedestrian paths will be increased from ₹500 to ₹5,000.
