High Court rules a lover is not considered a relative of a married man

The High Court stated in a case that a married man's lover cannot be considered a family member or relative. The single-judge bench, presided over by Justice M. Nagaprashanna, issued an order regarding the criminal petition filed by a 26-year-old woman (the lover) in the 6th Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in the city. The court ordered the cancellation of the petition, noting that only blood relation, marriage, or adoption grants the status of a relative.
