High Court questions criminal nature of filing Form-7 applications

The High Court heard a writ petition filed by G.S. Vasantalakshmi and R. Deepak Singh, seeking quashing of an FIR registered against them for filing Form-7 applications. The court questioned the legal nature of filing more than fifty Form-7 applications. The court also noted that 93.47% of the notices issued to 43.82 lakh voters under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) have been processed, with a deadline set by October 12.
