High Court quashes defamation case against BJP, granting relief to D.K. Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah

The High Court has quashed a private defamation case, granting significant relief to CM D.K. Shivakumar and former CM Siddaramaiah. Justice M. Nagaprashanna issued the order, and a detailed copy of the order is expected to be available soon. The defamation case was filed by the BJP State Unit, alleging that the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) published 'Corruption Rate Card' advertisements and conducted false propaganda before the 2023 Assembly elections.
