High Court names ADGP R. Hitendr as head of SIT investigating KPSC recruitment scam

The Karnataka High Court appointed Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) R. Hitendr as the head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the KPSC recruitment scam. The court selected Hitendr from four ADGP-grade officers recommended by the state government. The High Court also appointed ADGP (Administration) Soumendu Mukharji as an SIT member, replacing IPS officer Divya V. Gopinath. The court directed that the SIT must conduct an investigation that is credible and impartial.
