High Court issues notice to K.A. Dayananda over defamation suit

The High Court has ordered the issuance of a notice to K.A. Dayananda, the administrative officer of the Kannada Sahitya Parishat, regarding a defamation suit filed by former president Mahesh Joshi. Mahesh Joshi had filed a writ petition challenging the show-cause notice issued by the administrative officer concerning financial irregularities in the Parishat. Joshi had previously filed a petition asking the single-judge bench not to enforce any ruling or decision on the writ petition until the next hearing. Following the alleged violation of this order, Mahesh Joshi filed a defamation case against the administrative officer Dayananda. The hearing has been postponed until November 5.
