High Court dismisses criminal case alleging body shaming and abusive language

The High Court recently dismissed a criminal case filed in Bengaluru, which alleged body shaming and abuse using indecent language. The court stated that the evidence was insufficient to prove an offense under Section 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The dismissal was granted to two young women, aged 25 and 27, who had filed a criminal application.
