Health Department considers changes to rules regarding deceased body transfer

The Health Department is considering changes to the rules regarding the transfer of deceased bodies from private hospitals. Currently, private hospitals require families to pay a fixed amount before releasing the body. This practice has caused distress and complaints in some cases. Health Minister U.T. Khadar stated that the department plans to discuss this with private hospital and nursing home associations to formulate a new law.
