HDK Kumaraswamy criticizes Congress over loan waiver support and state drought relief measures

Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy launched an attack on the Congress on Saturday, accusing it of refusing to support farm loan waivers during his 2018 tenure as Karnataka CM. He criticized the current State Government’s drought relief and farmer welfare measures, stating that Congress leaders offered no support when he waived farmer loans in 2018. Kumaraswamy also questioned the state's recent request for Central assistance, calling the proposed drought compensation of Rs 2,500 per hectare inadequate.
