Gruhajyoti Scheme: Document Verification Period Extended to September 30

The Electricity Department has ordered the extension of the document verification period for Gruhajyoti scheme beneficiaries until September 30. The verification process, which began house-to-house from July 1, was previously extended until September 30. The extension is needed because some house owners or tenants refused to provide information or were found to have locked their homes when utility staff visited. The department stated that those who refused or locked their homes during the visit will be given another opportunity.
