Group B posts for athletes who won medals in Asian and Commonwealth Games

Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara announced that athletes who won medals in the Asian and Commonwealth Games will be directly appointed to Group B posts. He stated that the government's objective is to provide job security and secure the future for achievers who bring glory to the state and country in the field of sports. Furthermore, 20 athletes from Karnataka who participated in the Asian Games have been allocated a reward of ₹5 lakh each for the first time.
