Greater Bengaluru Authority to incorporate multiple urban and rural local bodies

The process of integrating all existing urban and rural local bodies into the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has reached its final stage. The government has decided to grant 'urban status' to prevent unplanned development and manage the rapid urbanization in the district.
